Secondly, the environment will have a big impact on being able to build. Most construction cannot occur in bad weather or if the ground is frozen. Another deciding factor is the complexity of the house and the available materials. The summer months are typically the best time to work on houses because there are more available construction workers to help complete the home. Further, the availability of materials for the house will make a difference with how long it will take to complete construction. Special orders or difficult to find materials can add significant time to building your home. If you have elected to go with a personalized production floor plan the home could take anywhere from 4 to 6 months to build. If you have decided to go with a completely custom build on your house the time for construction can last 10 to 16 months depending on the complexity. Furthermore, any change in plans to the design or materials can add additional time to the complete house construction.
